After having lost a blowout in their previous game against Minersville, the Schuylkill Haven Hurricanes were happy to have found some success on Tuesday. They strolled past Williams Valley with points to spare, taking the game 41-22. That result was just more of the same for these two, as Schuylkill Haven also won the last time the pair played back in December of 2023.
Schuylkill Haven got their win on the backs of several key players, but it was Mckenna Runkle out in front who scored eight points. Olivia Dress was another key contributor, scoring eight points.
Schuylkill Haven pushed their record up to 12-1 with that victory, which was their sixth straight at home. Those good results were due in large part to their offensive dominance across that stretch, as they averaged 53.5 points per game. As for Williams Valley, their loss ended a three-game streak of away wins and brought them to 6-5.
Both teams are looking forward to the support of their home crowds in their upcoming games. Schuylkill Haven will take on Shenandoah Valley at 7:30 p.m. on Friday. As for Williams Valley, they will be playing at home against Nativity BVM at 6:00 p.m. on Friday. Nativity BVM will have to bring their A-game into this one, as they are staring down a pretty big deficit in the MaxPreps Pennsylvania Rankings (they are ranked 580th, while Williams Valley is ranked 256th).
