Greeley Central had lost 13 straight at home dating back to last season, but on Saturday they dropped down to 2-18 to make it 14. They lost 13-3 to the Mountain View Mountain Lions. Unfortunately, that's the second time they've come up short against the Mountain Lions this season, as they also lost their prior matchup 13-8 on Saturday.

Alyea Molina-Haney and Ziva Travis stepped up to the plate in a big way. Molina-Haney went 2-for-3 with two doubles and one RBI, while Travis went 2-for-3 with two runs, one stolen base, and one RBI. Travis has been hot, having posted at least one stolen base the last five times she's played. Another player making a difference was Karley Romero, who went 1-for-3 with two stolen bases and one run.
As for Mountain View, the win made it two in a row for them and bumps their season record up to 3-16-1. 13 seems to be a good number for them as the team scooped up a victory with the same number of runs in their previous game.
On Mountain View's side, Izabella Atwood made a big impact while hitting and pitching. She looked comfortable on the mound, striking out eight batters over six innings while giving up three earned runs off six hits (and not a single walk). That's the most strikeouts Atwood has posted since back in October of 2024. She was also big at the plate, going 1-for-3 with two runs.
In other batting news, Zylla Rodriguez was incredible, going 1-for-3 with three RBI, two runs, and one triple. That's the most RBI she has posted since back in October of 2024. Alex Simpson was another key player, getting on base in all four of her plate appearances with two runs, two RBI, and one double.
Greeley Central has already played their next contest, a 17-0 loss against Greeley West on the 6th. As for Mountain View, they also wasted no time getting back out on the field and have already played their next matchup, an 18-1 defeat against Berthoud on the 6th.
