After having lost a blowout in their previous game against Calvary Christian, Shaw was happy to have turned things around on Tuesday. Everything went their way against the Sumter County Panthers as they made off with a 20-4 win. With that victory, the Raiders brought their scoring average up to 7.4 runs per game.
Jordan McGee made a big impact while hitting and pitching. He looked comfortable on the mound, pitching two innings while giving up no earned runs or hits. McGee was even better at the plate, getting on base in all four of his plate appearances with three stolen bases, two runs, and one double. That's the most runs he has posted since back in March of 2025.
In other batting news, Shaw got a massive performance out of Otis Stephens, who got on base in three of his four plate appearances with two stolen bases, three RBI, and two runs. Shaw will look to defend their home field on Wednesday against Marion County at 5:30 p.m. As for Sumter County, they will head out on the road to face off against Carver at 5:30 p.m. on Tuesday.
