The Livermore Cowboys's recent rough patch got a bit rougher on Friday after their ninth straight loss. They were dealt a 56-17 defeat at the hands of Dougherty Valley. The loss unfortunately continues a disappointing trend for Livermore in their matchups with Dougherty Valley: they've now lost four in a row.
Several Cowboys players turned in solid performances, despite ultimately coming up short. Perhaps the best among those players was Jaylinn Pacheco, who scored nine points.
Livermore has not been sharp recently, as they've lost ten of their last 11 matches, which put a noticeable dent in their 3-19 record this season. As for Dougherty Valley, their win ended a four-game drought at home and bumped them up to 3-14.
Both teams are looking forward to the support of their home crowds in their upcoming games. Livermore will take on Arroyo at 7:00 p.m. on Monday. Hopefully Arroyo focused on turnovers this week since the team gave up 29 last Thursday. As for Dougherty Valley, they will play host again and welcome Amador Valley, where tip off is scheduled for 7:30 p.m. on Tuesday. Amador Valley has now lost ten straight, and the team is hunting for their first win since December 9.
