The Amherst Broncos were the 40-33 winner over the Wilcox-Hildreth Falcons when they last played one another last Saturday, but their luck changed this time around. Amherst fell to the Falcons 38-32. That's two games in a row now that Amherst has lost by exactly six points.
Madison Bunger continued her habit of posting crazy stat lines for Wilcox-Hildreth, dropping a double-double on 14 points and 13 rebounds. Bunger hasn't dropped below two steals for eight straight games. The team also got some help courtesy of Katelyn Bunger, who scored 12 points.
Amherst's defeat dropped their record down to 12-7. As for Wilcox-Hildreth, the victory (which was their fourth in a row) raised their record to 15-5.
Amherst will be playing in front of their home fans against the Bulldogs at 7:30 p.m. on Thursday. Hopefully Pleasanton focused on turnovers this week since the team gave up 17 on Monday. Wilcox-Hildreth will be staying on the road on Thursday to face off against the Eagles at 6:30 p.m. on February 1st. Overton will be looking to extend their current 13-game winning streak.
