Turlock is 9-0 against Modesto since December of 2018, and they'll have a chance to extend that success on Tuesday. The Turlock Bulldogs will head out on the road to square off against the Modesto Panthers at 7:30 p.m. Turlock will be strutting in after a win while Modesto will be coming in after a defeat.
Last Tuesday, Turlock didn't have too much breathing room in their matchup against Pitman, but they still walked away with a 38-33 victory.
Turlock can attribute much of their success to Cadence Campbell, who scored nine points along with six assists, and Olivia Walker, who scored four points along with six rebounds.
Meanwhile, this season hasn't been kind to Modesto, who are still winless after their 13th game. They were outmatched by Gregori at home and fell 70-25. While losing is never fun, Modesto can't take it too hard given the team's big disadvantage in MaxPreps' California basketball rankings (they are ranked 1309th, while Gregori is ranked 417th).
Turlock's win ended a three-game drought at home and bumped them up to 5-14. As for Modesto, their defeat was their seventh straight at home, which bumped their record down to 0-13.
Turlock strolled past Modesto in their previous meeting back in January of 2023 by a score of 46-31. Will Turlock repeat their success, or does Modesto have a new game plan this time around? We'll find out soon enough.
