Islands entered their tilt with Groves on Thursday with four consecutive wins, and they'll enter their next game with five. They walked away with a 2-0 victory over the Rebels. That result was just more of the same for these two, as the Sharks also won the last time the pair played back in October of 2020.

The 2-0 score doesn't show just how dominant Islands was: they took both sets by at least 15 points. The final score came out to 25-8, 25-10.

Islands' win bumped their record up to 15-6. As for Groves, they have been struggling recently as they've lost seven of their last eight matchups. That's put a noticeable dent in their 5-11 record this season.

Islands will host Effingham County at 5:00 p.m. on Monday. As for Groves, they are taking a road trip to take on Richmond Hill at 7:00 p.m. on Wednesday.
