Norwalk came tearing into Saturday's contest with eight straight wins (a stretch where they outscored their opponents by an average of 6.4 runs), and they left with even more momentum. They blew past the Ottumwa Bulldogs 11-1. Considering the Warriors have won 13 games by more than five runs this season, Saturday's blowout was nothing new.

Norwalk pushed their record up to 22-2 with the win, which was their fourth straight at home. Those home victories came thanks in part to their pitching effort, having only surrendered 1.3 runs on average over those games. As for Ottumwa, their defeat ended a six-game streak of away wins and brought them to 12-6.

Norwalk didn't take long to hit the field again: they've already played their next matchup, a 7-2 loss against Wayne on the 21st. As for Ottumwa, they have also already played their next contest, an 8-0 defeat against Van Meter on the 21st.
