Buchanan waltzed into their match on Friday with two straight wins... but they left with three. Their pitchers stepped up to hand the Clovis West Golden Eagles a 13-0 shutout. The Bears might be getting used to big wins seeing as the team has won 11 contests by six runs or more this season.

Buchanan pushed their record up to 18-3 with the victory, which was their seventh straight on the road. Those road wins came thanks in part to their hitting performance across that stretch, as they averaged 9.9 runs over those games. As for Clovis West, they have been struggling recently as they've lost five of their last six games. That's put a noticeable dent in their 13-9 record this season.
