The Millersburg Indians stacked an eighth blowout win onto their ever-increasing hoard on Saturday. They put the hurt on York County Tech with a sharp 69-47 victory. Millersburg's offense stepped up their game for this one, as that was the most points they've scored all season.
Emma Miller was her usual excellent self, dropping a double-double on 19 points and 17 rebounds. She is on a roll when it comes to rebounds, as she's now pulled down eight or more in the last 14 games she's played. The team also got some help courtesy of Raegan Hale, who scored 16 points along with five rebounds.
York County Tech's loss shouldn't obscure the performances of Le'Icessess Harrison, who scored 16 points along with three steals, and Anna Foster who scored 17 points. That was a full 34% of York County Tech's points, marking the fifth time in a row she's earned more than a third of the team's points.
The victory was the fifth in a row for Millersburg, bringing their record for this year to 13-2. Those good results were due in large part to their offensive dominance across that stretch, as they averaged 53.4 points per game. As for York County Tech, they bumped their record down to 5-11 with that defeat, which was their third straight on the road.
Both teams will have to hit the road in their upcoming games. Millersburg will take on Saint Joseph's Catholic Academy at 7:30 p.m. on Tuesday. Saint Joseph's Catholic Academy is currently enjoying a perfect season and no doubt want to keep things rolling. As for York County Tech, they will head out on the road to take on Hanover at 6:00 p.m. on Wednesday. Hanover is still on the hunt for that elusive first 'W'.
