The El Camino Wildcats will head out on the road to face off against the Sage Creek Bobcats at 7:00 p.m. on Tuesday. Hopefully El Camino focused on turnovers this week since the team gave up 15 on Friday.
Last Friday, El Camino came up short against Pacific Ridge and fell 44-33. El Camino has now taken an 'L' in back-to-back games.
Despite their defeat, El Camino saw several players rise to the challenge and make noteworthy plays. Alana Hoskins, who scored 14 points along with 7 rebounds and 5 steals, was perhaps the best of all. The match was Hoskins' fourth in a row with at least ten points. Another player making a difference was Aliyah Carter, who scored 6 points along with 8 rebounds.
Meanwhile, Sage Creek narrowly escaped with a victory as the team sidled past Mira Mesa 46-44. The win was just what Sage Creek needed coming off of a 60-31 defeat in their prior matchup.
The losses dropped El Camino to 1-3 and Pacific Ridge to 3-2.
El Camino strolled past Sage Creek in their previous matchup back in January of 2020 by a score of 56-37. Will El Camino repeat their success, or does Sage Creek have a new game plan this time around? We'll find out soon enough.
