Grayson Boles looked comfortable as he struck out seven batters over three innings while giving up no earned runs off one hit (and only one walk). He has been nothing but reliable on the mound: he hasn't tossed less than five strikeouts in four consecutive appearances.

St. Augustine's victory was their third straight at home, which pushed their record up to 10-5. The home wins came thanks in part to their pitching effort, having only surrendered 2.3 runs on average over those games. As for Scripps Ranch, their record is now 5-10.
St. Augustine skirted past Scripps Ranch 5-4 in their previous meeting back in April of 2024. The rematch might be a little tougher for the Saints since the squad won't have the home-field advantage this time around. We'll see if the change in venue makes a difference.
