First Philadelphia Prep couldn't capitalize on their home-court advantage in their season opener. They were the victim of a tough 39-14 defeat at the hands of String Theory on Wednesday. First Philadelphia Prep lost against String Theory in their previous head to head back in December of 2022, too, but the margin this time around was much wider than the 46-10 score last time.
Despite the defeat, First Philadelphia Prep saw an underclassman step up: Kaitlynn Tun scored 9 points.
First Philadelphia Prep's defeat dropped their record down to 0-1. As for String Theory, the victory makes it two in a row for them and bumps their season record up to 2-0.
First Philadelphia Prep will head out on the road to face off against South Philadelphia at 3:15 p.m. on Monday. As for String Theory, they will be playing at home against Strawberry Mansion at 3:15 p.m. on Monday.
