Rosewood is 2-8 against North Duplin since January of 2020 but they'll have a chance to close the gap a little bit on Friday. The Rosewood Eagles will be playing in front of their home fans against the North Duplin Rebels at 6:00 p.m. Both teams come into the matchup bolstered by wins in their previous matches.
Last Tuesday, even if it wasn't a dominant performance, Rosewood beat Neuse Charter 31-27. The victory was just what Rosewood needed coming off of a 50-23 loss in their prior matchup.
Meanwhile, North Duplin put the finishing touches on their seventh blowout victory of the season on Tuesday. Everything went their way against Union as North Duplin made off with a 59-34 win. For those keeping track at home, that's the biggest win North Duplin has posted since December 13, 2023.
Rosewood's victory bumped their record up to 5-12. As for North Duplin, they pushed their record up to 9-6 with that win, which was their 14th straight at home.
Rosewood was dealt a bruising 57-18 loss at the hands of North Duplin when the teams last played back in February of 2023. The match was all but decided by halftime, at which point Rosewood was down 38-9.
