Richwood is 2-7 against the Titans since February of 2020 but they'll have a chance to close the gap a little bit on Monday. The Richwood Lumberjacks will be staying on the road to face off against the Gilmer County Titans at 7:30 p.m. on February 5th. The matchup should be an exciting one, as these teams are closely ranked in West Virginia (Richwood is ranked 123rd, while the Titans are ranked 116th).
Last Wednesday, Richwood was beaten by the Rams 56-25. The result shouldn't come as a shock considering that's the fewest points Richwood has scored all season.
Meanwhile, Gilmer County beat the Rebels 44-34 on Friday.
Richwood's defeat was their tenth straight on the road dating back to last season, which dropped their record down to 1-13. As for Gilmer County, their victory bumped their record up to 3-13.
Richwood ended up a good deal behind the Titans in their previous meeting back in January, losing 60-45. Can Richwood avenge their loss or is history doomed to repeat itself? We'll find out soon enough.
