Olympian was led to victory by Alyssa Martin and Asia Darcuiel. Martin dropped a double-double on 15 points and 17 rebounds, while Darcuiel scored 18 points along with nine rebounds and three steals. That makes it five consecutive games in which Darcuiel has scored at least 25% of Olympian's points. The team also got some help courtesy of Alyssa Agpaoa, who scored 12 points along with four steals.
When it comes to explaining why Heritage lost, one person who can't be blamed is Sierra Maxwell . Despite the final result, she scored 24 points along with six rebounds. The contest was Maxwell 's tenth in a row with at least ten points. Another player making a difference was Reg'inae Hardin, who scored six points along with ten rebounds and three steals.
Heritage struggled to work together and finished the game with only four assists. That's the fewest assists they've managed all season.
Olympian's victory bumped their record up to 2-3. As for Heritage, their defeat was their third straight on the road, which bumped their record down to 7-3.
