The Quartz Hill Royals's game last Thursday was a tough loss, but they didn't let that memory haunt them on Saturday. They took down Victor Valley 49-33. For Quartz Hill, this counts as revenge for the 62-29 defeat Victor Valley walked away with the last time they faced one another back in February of 2022.
Quartz Hill was led to victory by Ashantee Palmer and Mandy Frozina. Palmer scored 15 points along with five rebounds and four steals, while Frozina scored 19 points along with seven steals and five assists. Frozina is on a roll when it comes to steals, as she's now grabbed two or more in the last four games she's played. The team also got some help courtesy of Alonna Rollins, who scored six points.
Quartz Hill has been performing well recently as they've won seven of their last nine matchups, which provided a massive bump to their 11-9 record this season. As for Victor Valley, this is the second loss in a row for them and nudges their season record down to 6-15.
Quartz Hill will look to defend their home court on Tuesday against Palmdale at 5:00 p.m. Palmdale comes in on a streak of failing to score more than 17 points in their last four games, a trend the team is of course eager to reverse. As for Victor Valley, they will head out on the road to square off against Silverado at 5:30 p.m. on Tuesday. One thing working in Silverado's favor is that they have posted big point totals in their last four matchups.
