Caledonia (Minn.) took the final lead of the game on Saturday as with less than a minute remaining, bringing the team to victory over
Moose Lake/Willow River (Moose Lake, Minn.) 25-22.
By the end of the third, the Warriors found themselves trailing by 7 points as the Rebels captured the lead thanks to three scores in the quarter. Moose Lake/Willow River scored on a
Jake Disterhaupt touchdown run, a two-point conversion and a touchdown pass by
Tony Adamczak to
Isaac Coil in the quarter.
Brad Strub stood out for Caledonia in the win. The senior wide receiver ran for one touchdown and caught one touchdown.
Disterhaupt made a difference for MLWR. The senior running back ran for two touchdowns.
A 27-0 Caledonia victory was the result when the squads faced off last season.
The loss comes after Moose Lake/Willow River defeated Jackson County Central 27-20 last week.
