Ripon Christian has gone 9-1 against Gustine recently and they'll look to pad the win column further on Monday. The Knights will take on the Reds at 4:00 p.m. Expect the scorekeeper to be kept busy: if their previous games are any indication, these teams will really light up the scoreboard.
Gustine will face off against a team with plenty of momentum: Ripon Christian extended their winning streak to three on Thursday. The Knights blew past Ben Holt College Prep Academy 13-1. The Knights might be getting used to big wins seeing as the team has won 11 matchups by six runs or more this season.
Trenton Cloward was a major factor no matter where he played. He looked comfortable on the mound, not allowing a single earned run while striking out six over five innings pitched. Cloward was also big at the plate, going 3-for-4 with two runs, two doubles, and two RBI. That's the most hits he has posted since back in April of 2025.

In other batting news, Jackson Howell was incredible, going a perfect 5-for-5 with one home run, three runs, and four RBI. Those five hits gave him a new career-high. The team also got some help courtesy of Stadtler Postma, who went 2-for-4 with two stolen bases, three runs, and one RBI.
Ripon Christian was getting hits left and right and finished the game having posted a batting average of .424. That was just more of the same: they've now posted a batting average of .333 or higher in three consecutive games.
Gustine's found some homefield redemption this week after a overtime loss to Denair on Thursday. The Reds were the clear victors by a 16-2 margin over the Coyotes. The high-scoring performance was a welcome turnaround for the Reds' hitters, who had struggled in the games prior.
The win got Gustine back to even at 7-7. As for Ripon Christian, their record is now 19-3.
Everything went Ripon Christian's way against Gustine in their previous meeting on Monday, as Ripon Christian made off with a 21-0 victory. The rematch might be a little tougher for the Knights since the team won't have the home-field advantage this time around. We'll see if the change in venue makes a difference.
