The Monterey Dores won the last time they faced the Pacific Grove Breakers, and things went their way on Thursday too. Monterey took down Pacific Grove 43-29. The victory made it back-to-back wins for Monterey.
Monterey found their leader in underclassman Jeanine Williams, who scored 18 points. Another player making a difference was Tiffany Nielsen, who scored ten points.
The win got Monterey back to even at 12-12. As for Pacific Grove, they have not been sharp recently as the team has lost ten of their last 11 matches, which put a noticeable dent in their 7-16 record this season.
Monterey will head out on the road to square off against North Salinas at 7:00 p.m. on Tuesday. Monterey is facing North Salinas at the right time seeing as North Salinas is stuck on a nine-game losing streak. As for Pacific Grove, they will look to defend their home court on Tuesday against Watsonville at 7:00 p.m. Pacific Grove is coming into the match with seven straight defeats at home, meaning Watsonville will have to defend against a team hungry for a win.
