It was a good run, but the San Bernardino Cardinals unfortunately witnessed the end of their three-game winning streak on Thursday. They took a 43-38 hit to the loss column at the hands of Indian Springs. San Bernardino was given a dose of their own medicine in this game as Indian Springs apparently hadn't forgotten their loss the last time these teams played back in December of 2023.
Despite the loss, San Bernardino saw an underclassman step up: Laniah Porter scored 13 points along with seven blocks and five rebounds. Porter continues to roll, besting her previous point total in each of the last three games she's played. The team also got some help courtesy of Jasmine Ramirez, who scored eight points.
San Bernardino's loss ended a four-game streak of wins at home and dropped them to 12-8. As for Indian Springs, their win was their third straight on the road, which pushed their record up to 17-6.
San Bernardino will challenge Jurupa Valley at 6:15 p.m. on Tuesday. As for Indian Springs, they will be playing in front of their home fans against Pacific at 6:15 p.m. on Tuesday. Pacific is coming into the game on a four-game losing streak.
