The Hancock Hawks lost against the Harrison Central Red Rebels back in January of 2023, and unfortunately they wound up with the same result on Thursday. Hancock was the victim of a tough 51-31 loss at the hands of the Red Rebels. The defeat unfortunately continues a disappointing trend for Hancock in their matchups with the Red Rebels: they've now lost four in a row.
Harrison Central's victory was a true team effort, with many players turning in solid performances. Perhaps the best among them was Aujaylen Barron, who scored 15 points along with three steals. Barron has been hot recently, having posted 15 or more points the last five times he's played. Jonathan Pace was another key contributor, scoring nine points along with eight rebounds and three blocks.
Hancock's loss dropped their record down to 12-15. As for Harrison Central, their victory was their fifth straight at home, which pushed their record up to 20-8.
Hancock will take on the Rebels at 5:00 p.m. on Monday. Harrison Central does not have any more games scheduled as of now.
