Softball Recap: Strasburg Extends Winning Streak to Four

Strasburg had already won three in a row (a stretch where they outscored their opponents by an average of 7 runs) and they went ahead and made it four on Saturday. They skirted past the Lamar Thunder 12-10. That's more bragging rights for the Indians, who also won the pair's last head-to-head.

Addi Kent was incredible, going 2-for-3 with three RBI, two runs, and two doubles. With that strong performance, she is now averaging an impressive 2.2 runs per game. Wynne Winter was another key player, going 2-for-3 with three runs, two doubles, and one RBI.

Strasburg always had someone on base and finished the game having posted an OBP of .533. That was just more of the same: they've now posted an OBP of .528 or higher in four consecutive games.

Strasburg's record is now 4-1. As for Lamar, they are on a three-game losing streak that has dropped them down to 1-4.

Coming up, Strasburg will be playing at home against Gunnison at 10:00 a.m. on Saturday. As for Lamar, they will challenge Wray/Yuma at 3:00 p.m. on Tuesday. The Thunder's pitchers better be ready for this one: the Eagles have averaged an impressive 11.5 runs per game this season.
