In what's become a running theme this season, the West Campus Warriors gave their fans yet another huge win on Monday. They claimed a resounding 65-22 win over Natomas on the road. Winning may never get old, but West Campus sure is getting used to it with their eighth in a row.
West Campus' success was the result of a balanced attack that saw several players step up, but Leilani Edinburgh led the charge by scoring 22 points along with eight steals and six rebounds. Edinburgh has been hot recently, having posted two or more steals the last 15 times she's played. Another player making a difference was Loismary Justice, who dropped a double-double on 18 points and ten rebounds.
West Campus' victory was their 14th straight on the road dating back to last season, which pushed their record up to 19-6. They've been dominating during the contests in that stretch too, as they've won by an average of 33.6 points. As for Natomas, they now have a losing record at 13-14.
Both squads will have to hit the road in their upcoming games. West Campus will square off against Florin at 6:00 p.m. on Wednesday. West Campus has been dominant on offense recently, as they've racked up an incredible 373 points over their last six games. As for Natomas, they will head out on the road to square off against Valley at 7:30 p.m. on Friday.
