Two dominant guards in Laila Alexander and Ciara O'Hara are getting ready to go toe-to-toe. The Cristo Rey Philadelphia Blue Pride will be playing at home against the Kimberton Waldorf Bulls at 5:00 p.m. on Tuesday.
Cristo Rey Philadelphia is probably headed into the match with a chip on their shoulder considering Mastery just ended the team's five-game winning streak on Wednesday. They fell to the Warrior 43-39.

Despite the loss, Cristo Rey Philadelphia got top-tier performance from Alexander, who went 6 of 9 on her way to 21 points along with six assists and five rebounds. Alexander is also crushing it when it comes to steals: she's grabbed at least four every time she's taken the court this season. Gabby Delbridge was another key player, putting up 12 points and four steals.
Even though they lost, Cristo Rey Philadelphia smashed the offensive glass and finished the game with 11 offensive boards. That strong performance was nothing new for the team: they've now pulled down at least ten offensive rebounds in 19 consecutive games.
Meanwhile, Kimberton Waldorf waltzed into their contest on Friday with five straight wins... but they left with six. They managed a 42-38 victory over the Falcons. The win was all the more spectacular given the Bulls' disadvantage in MaxPreps' basketball rankings in their respective home states (they are ranked 235th in Pennsylvania, while the Falcons are ranked 28th in New Jersey).
Cristo Rey Philadelphia better keep an eye on O'Hara. She was instrumental in Kimberton Waldorf's win, going 7 for 17 en route to 22 points in addition to seven boards and four steals. That makes it four consecutive games in which O'Hara has scored at least a third of Kimberton Waldorf's points. The team also got some help courtesy of Natalia Borondo, who posted six points and 11 rebounds.
Kimberton Waldorf has been performing incredibly well recently as they've won eight of their last nine matches, which provided a nice bump to their 16-3 record this season. The wins came thanks to their defensive effort, having only surrendered 26.2 points per game. As for Cristo Rey Philadelphia, their defeat ended a three-game streak of wins at home and dropped them to 12-7.
Rebounding is likely to be a big factor in this contest: Cristo Rey Philadelphia has been smashing the glass this season, having averaged 42.5 boards per game. However, it's not like Kimberton Waldorf struggles in that department as they've been averaging 31.9 rebounds. With both teams battling to corral missed shots, we'll see if one team can grab an edge.
Cristo Rey Philadelphia was able to grind out a solid victory over Kimberton Waldorf in their previous meeting back in January, winning 43-35. Does Cristo Rey Philadelphia have another victory up their sleeve, or will Kimberton Waldorf turn the tables on them? We'll have the answer soon enough.
