The Jay Royals will face off against the Northview Chiefs at 7:00 p.m. on Tuesday. Both come into the contest bolstered by wins in their previous matches.
Jay is on a roll after a high-stakes playoff matchup on Wednesday. They sure made it a nail-biter, but they managed to escape with a 3-2 victory over Chipley. The Royals haven't had any issues with the Tigers recently, as the game was their seventh consecutive win against them.

Cadee Carroll was a major factor while hitting and pitching. She looked comfortable on the mound, pitching one inning while giving up no earned runs or hits. She has been consistent recently: she hasn't given up more than two walks in three consecutive appearances. She was also solid in the batter's box, going 1-for-3 with one home run.
In other pitching news, Jay got a great performance from Ella Samford as she tossed six innings while giving up just two earned runs off eight hits. Samford has been nothing but reliable on the mound: she hasn't given up more than two walks in four consecutive appearances.
Back at the plate, the team relied heavily on Kaylee Gilbreath, who got on base in three of her four plate appearances with two stolen bases, one run, and one double. Addy Palmer also deserves some recognition as she hit her first triple of the season.
Meanwhile, Northview never let their opponents score on Tuesday. They were the clear victors by a 15-0 margin over Holmes County. The result was nothing new for the Chiefs, who have now won 13 matchups by six runs or more so far this season.
Like Jay, Northview also got a great game from a two-way player: Mikayla McAnally. She struck out seven batters over three innings while giving up no earned runs off three hits (and not a single walk). McAnally was also big at the plate, going 1-for-2 with two RBI.
In other batting news, Northview let Daviona Randolph and Kylee Langham run wild. Randolph got on base in all three of her plate appearances with two runs and two RBI, while Langham went 2-for-3 with three runs and two RBI. Addysen Bolen was another key player, going 1-for-2 with two RBI and one run.
Northview hit smart and finished the game with only one strikeout. The team has now struck out at least three batters in four consecutive games.
Northview's record now sits at 19-5. As for Jay, the victory got them back to even at 12-12.
Jay might still be hurting after the 7-0 loss they got from Northview when the teams last played last Thursday. Can the Royals avenge their defeat or is history doomed to repeat itself? We'll find out soon enough.
