Trona can finally bid farewell to their 14-game losing streak dating back to last season thanks to their game on Friday. They were the clear victor by a 36-11 margin over the Baker Braves. The Tornadoes' offense stepped up their game for this one, as that was the most points they've scored all season.

Several Braves players turned in solid performances despite ultimately coming up short. Perhaps the best among those players was Jimena Galvez, who posted ten points and six steals. That was a full 90.9% of Baker's points, marking the third time in a row she's earned more than a third of the team's points. Another player making a difference was Lorena Licona, who had no points along with six rebounds and five steals.

Trona's first victory this season bumped their record up to 1-4. As for Baker, their loss dropped their record down to 1-3.

Trona won't have much time to rest: their next game is against Lee Vining at 1:00 p.m. on Saturday. As for Baker, they will head out to take on Pinecrest Academy Sloan Canyon at 5:00 p.m. on Tuesday.
