The Bay School waltzed into their match on Friday with three straight wins... but they left with four. Everything went their way against the International Jaguars as they made off with a 13-3 win. The Breakers might be getting used to big wins seeing as the team has won 14 games by six runs or more this season.
Ansel Hermanos was a major factor no matter where he played. On the mound, he struck out eight batters over six innings while giving up three earned runs off six hits (and not a single walk). He has been nothing but reliable: he hasn't given up more than one walk in 15 consecutive appearances. He was also big at the plate, going 1-for-3 with two RBI and one run.
In other batting news, Winston Franklin was a standout: he went 2-for-4 with three runs, one stolen base, and one double. That's the most hits he has posted since back in May of 2024. Nick Patarroyo was another key player, going 2-for-4 with three RBI and two runs.
The Bay School always had someone on base and finished the game having posted an OBP of .525. That was just more of the same: they've now posted an OBP of .525 or higher in four consecutive contests.
The Bay School pushed their record up to 16-5 with the victory, which was their eighth straight at home. The home wins came thanks in part to their pitching effort, having only surrendered 2.3 runs on average over those games. As for International, their loss dropped their record down to 7-11.
As of now, neither The Bay School nor the Jaguars have any future games scheduled.
