Galt has enjoyed the comforts of home their last two games, but now they'll head out on the road. They will take on the Union Mine Diamondbacks at 7:00 p.m. on Tuesday. Galt comes in on a streak of failing to score more than 25 points in their last three games, a trend the team is of course eager to reverse.
It's never fun to lose, and it's even less fun to lose 60-25, which was the final score in Galt's tilt against the Wolverine on Friday.
Meanwhile, Union Mine can now show off 11 landslide victories after their most recent game on Friday. They breezed by Bradshaw Christian on the road to the tune of 40-12. The win was familiar territory for Union Mine who now have three in a row.
Union Mine got their win on the backs of several key players, but it was Jennifer Wylie out in front who scored eight points along with 20 rebounds. Wylie hasn't dropped below eight rebounds for three straight games. Another player making a difference was Sydnee Jones, who scored six points along with eight rebounds and three steals.
Galt dropped their record down to 3-22 with that loss, which was their fourth straight at home. That rough patch could be blamed on the team's offensive performance across that stretch, as they only averaged 22.8 points per game. As for Union Mine, they have been performing well recently as they've won five of their last six contests, which provided a massive bump to their 17-10 record this season.
Galt came up short against the Diamondbacks in their previous meeting back in January, falling 43-33. Can Galt avenge their defeat or is history doomed to repeat itself? We'll find out soon enough.
