Etowah came tearing into Wednesday's contest with seven straight wins (a stretch where they outscored their opponents by an average of 4.6 runs), and they left with even more momentum. Everything went their way against the Richmond Hill Wildcats as they made off with a 7-1 victory. The result was nothing new for the Eagles, who have now won 19 games by six runs or more so far this season.

Etowah pushed their record up to 30-2 with the win, which was their fifth straight at home. The home victories came thanks in part to their pitching effort, having only surrendered 2.6 runs on average over those games. As for Richmond Hill, they have traveled a rocky road recently, having lost seven of their last eight matchups. That's put a noticeable dent in their 17-14 record this season.
