There's no place like home for the Mammoth Huskies, who bounced back after a tough loss on the road last Tuesday. They came out on top against Desert by a score of 61-53 on Friday. This was payback for Mammoth, who suffered a 71-32 defeat the last time these two teams met.
Mammoth's success was the result of a balanced attack that saw several players step up, but Tyler Jones led the charge by scoring 22 points along with nine rebounds and three steals. As a matter of fact, that's the most points Jones has scored all season. The team also got some help courtesy of Kaiam Trabulsi, who scored 17 points along with two steals.
Mammoth has been performing well recently as they've won three of their last four matchups, which provided a nice bump to their 9-6 record this season. As for Desert, their loss was their third straight on the road, which bumped their record down to 5-7.
Coincidentally, both teams will both be playing Rosamond the next time they take the court. Desert will head out to face Rosamond at 7:00 p.m. on Tuesday, while Mammoth will head out to face them at 7:00 p.m. on Friday.
