California High School Basketball - Mammoth tops Desert

January 12, 2024: Mammoth Lakes, CA 93546

Mammoth Huskies (Mammoth Lakes, CA) backers were pleased Friday as they saw their basketball squad knock off the visiting Desert Scorpions (Edwards AFB, CA), 61-53 in a league bout.

With the victory, Mammoth upgrades its record to 9-6 on the campaign. The Huskies host Immanuel Christian (Ridgecrest, CA) to play the Crusaders in a non-league bout on Tuesday, January 16. The Crusaders come into the bout with a record of 4-5. Immanuel Christian won 51-20 in their recent league bout against Lee Vining (Lee Vining, CA)

Next up, the Scorpions play the Rosamond Roadrunners (Rosamond, CA) in a High Desert bout, on Tuesday, January 16. Desert will attempt to upgrade on its 5-7 season record. The Roadrunners come into the bout with a 10-8 record after their 80-29 league win over Kern Valley (Lake Isabella, CA).
