California High School Basketball - California City tops Desert

December 19, 2023: California City, CA 93505

California City Ravens (California City, CA) backers were pleased Tuesday as they saw their basketball squad knock off the visiting Desert Scorpions (Edwards AFB, CA), 67-49 in a league bout.

With the victory, California City upgrades its record to 7-4 on the campaign. The Ravens travel to Frazier Mountain (Lebec, CA) to play the Falcons in a High Desert bout on Friday, December 22. The Falcons come into the bout with a record of 0-0.

Next up, the Scorpions play the Kern Valley Broncs (Lake Isabella, CA) in a High Desert bout, on Friday, December 22. Desert will attempt to upgrade on its 4-4 season record. The Broncs come into the bout with a 4-6 record after their 50-47 league win over Mammoth (Mammoth Lakes, CA).
