Taft saw seven different players step up and record at least one hit. One of them was  Brock Heber, who  scored two  runs and  stole a base while going 2-for-3. Heber has become a key player for the Wildcats: the team is undefeated when he posts  at  least  two  runs, but 4-11 otherwise.
 Taft was getting hits left and right  and  finished the game having  posted a batting average of .391. They are  a perfect 6-0 when  they post a batting average of .375 or better.
The  victory made it two in a row for Taft and  bumps their season record up to 7-11. Those  wins came thanks in part to their pitching effort, having only surrendered a grand total of 3  runs in those games. As for Minarets,  this is the second loss in a row for them and  nudges their season record down to 7-12.
 Coming up, Taft will venture away from home to  square off against Shafter  at 4:00  p.m.  on Tuesday. The Generals will roll in looking for their  fourth straight  victory, something the Wildcats surely won't give up without a fight. As for Minarets, they will be playing at home against Liberty  at 4:00  p.m.  on Tuesday.
