The Brawley Wildcats will be playing in front of their home fans against the Cibola Raiders at 7:00 p.m. Brawley will have to bring their A-game into this one, as they are staring down a pretty big deficit in their respective state's rankings (they are ranked 721st in California, while the Raiders are ranked 56th in Arizona).
Last Thursday, Brawley came up short against the Scots and fell 66-54. Brawley has struggled against the Scots recently, as their match on Thursday was their fourth consecutive lost matchup.
Brawley's defeat came about despite a quality game from Breanna Montano, who scored 26 points. That was a full 48.1% of Brawley's points, marking the third time in a row she's earned more than a third of the team's points. The team also got some help courtesy of Jaelyn Salceda, who scored 14 points.
In what's become a running theme this season, Cibola gave their fans yet another huge win on Friday. They claimed a resounding 85-19 victory over Kofa at home. Winning may never get old, but Cibola sure is getting used to it with their sixth in a row.
Brawley's loss dropped their record down to 12-10. As for Cibola, they are on a roll lately: they've won seven of their last eight contests, which provided a massive bump to their 16-8 record this season.
