Yorktown is 0-6 against Falls City since October of 2015 but things could change on Friday. The Wildcats will host the Beavers at 7:00 p.m. Both squads will be entering this one on the heels of a big victory.
Falls City will be up against a hot Yorktown squad: the team just extended their winning streak to six. The Wildcats claimed a resounding 45-0 win over Louise. That's two games straight that the Wildcats have won by exactly 45 points.

Brody Metting had another great game (as he tends to do), rushing for 178 yards and one score on only 11 carries, while also throwing for 160 yards and a pair of touchdowns on only seven passes. That's the most passing yards he has posted since back in October of 2024. Yorktown's leading receiver Matthew Olguin was Metting's top target yet again, picking up 133 receiving yards and two TDs.
They were just one part of a punishing run game: Yorktown was unstoppable on the ground and finished the game with 289 rushing yards. That strong performance was nothing new for the team: they've now rushed for at least 203 rushing yards in eight consecutive matchups dating back to last season.
Meanwhile, while Falls City put up plenty of points on Friday, the same can't be said for Charlotte. The Beavers blew past the Trojans 53-0. The victory continues a trend for the Beavers in their matchups with the Trojans: they've now won six in a row.
Yorktown better keep an eye on Braylon Johnson. He was instrumental in Falls City's win, rushing for 155 yards and three scores on only five carries, while also throwing for 79 yards and one touchdown. Johnson's longest rush was for an impressive 55 yards, which helps to explain his lofty yards per carry total. Another player making a difference was Tyler Pawelek, who rushed for 51 yards and one TD.
The win got Falls City back to even at 4-4. As for Yorktown, their victory bumped their record up to 6-1.
Friday's contest will pit two of the most dominant signal callers against one another: Metting and Johnson. Metting just won't slow down this season and has thrown 9 touchdowns while averaging 106.9 passing yards per game. Johnson has been a dominant force too and has thrown 2 touchdowns while averaging 57.8 passing yards per game.
Yorktown took a serious blow against Falls City in their previous matchup back in November of 2024, falling 48-7. A big factor in that loss was the dominant performance of Johnson, who rushed for 264 yards and four touchdowns on only 11 carries. Now that the Wildcats know the damage he can cause, will they be able to stop him this time? There's only one way to find out.
