Having just played yesterday, the Avonworth Antelopes will head out on the road to face off against Sewickley Academy at 7:30 p.m. on February 3rd. Hopefully Avonworth is not getting complacent, as they presents a significant challenge as they come into the match much higher ranked than the in Pennsylvania (the Antelopes are ranked 96th, while the are ranked 345th).
On Friday, Avonworth was just a bucket shy of victory and fell 55-54 to the Quakers.
Meanwhile, Sewickley Academy didn't have too much trouble with the Spartans at home on Friday as they won 51-32. The victory was just what Sewickley Academy needed coming off of a 51-20 loss in their prior game.
Avonworth has been struggling recently as they've lost three of their last four games, which put a noticeable dent in their 10-6 record this season. As for Sewickley Academy, their victory bumped their record up to 11-7.
Avonworth was able to grind out a solid victory over the in their previous meeting back in January of 2021, winning 57-50. Will Avonworth repeat their success, or do the have a new game plan this time around? We'll find out soon enough.
