When it comes to explaining why Carson lost on Monday, one person who can't be blamed is Madison Wheeler. Despite the final result, she scored 20 points along with five steals. The team also got some help courtesy of Faith Woodson, who scored nine points along with 13 rebounds and four steals.
Aliso Niguel's win bumped their record up to 5-12. As for Carson, their defeat dropped their record down to 11-9.
Aliso Niguel won't have much time to rest: their next game is against Tesoro at 7:00 p.m. on January 16th. Tesoro is coming into the contest on a three-game losing streak. As for Carson, they will be playing in front of their home fans against San Pedro at 4:30 p.m. on Wednesday. The matchup should be an exciting one, as these teams are ranked near one another in California (San Pedro is ranked 509th, while Carson is ranked 499th).
