WestSide fell to Mingo Central 51-46. The loss unfortunately continues a disappointing trend for WestSide in their matchups with Mingo Central: they've now lost seven in a row.
Among those leading the charge was Addie Smith, who scored 23 points along with 4 steals. That makes it two consecutive games in which she has scored at least 25% of Mingo Central's points. The team also got some help courtesy of Dalaney Grimmett, who scored 10 points along with 4 steals.
WestSide's defeat dropped their record down to 1-1. As for Mingo Central, the victory makes it two in a row for them and bumps their season record up to 2-0.
Both teams are looking forward to the support of their home crowds in their upcoming games. WestSide will get a bit of extra time to process the loss as their next game is a ways off. They'll take on River View at 7:00 p.m. on December 19th. As for Mingo Central, they will stay at home for another game and welcome Summers County at 5:00 p.m. on December 9th.
