The Baker Braves lost against the Lone Pine Golden Eagles back in February of 2023, and unfortunately they wound up with the same result on Thursday. The match between both teams wasn't particularly close, with Baker falling 36-20. They have struggled against Lone Pine recently, as their matchup on Thursday was their fifth consecutive lost matchup.
Loss or not, Baker got some senior leadership from Aletza Salazar and Karen Jimenez. Salazar dropped a double-double on 12 points and ten rebounds, while Jimenez. scored six points along with six rebounds and five steals. Jimenez is on a roll when it comes to steals, as she's now grabbed two or more in the last three games she's played.
Baker has traveled a rocky road recently, as they've lost three of their last four contests, which put a noticeable dent in their 5-4 record this season. As for Lone Pine, their victory ended a three-game drought on the road and puts them at 4-5.
Coincidentally, both teams will both be playing Immanuel Christian the next time they take the court. Lone Pine will head out to face Immanuel Christian at 4:00 p.m. on Friday, while Baker will host them at 4:00 p.m. on Tuesday.
