The Rockwood Rockets lost against the Northern Huskies back in January, and unfortunately they wound up with the same result on Monday. The game between Rockwood and Northern wasn't particularly close, with Rockwood falling 59-44. The defeat unfortunately continues a disappointing trend for Rockwood in their matchups with Northern: they've now lost six in a row.
Abby Nelson continued her habit of posting crazy stat lines for Northern, dropping a double-double on 35 points and ten rebounds. As a matter of fact, that's the most points Nelson has scored all season. Kaylee Bowser was another key contributor, scoring five points along with three steals.
Rockwood now has a losing record at 10-11. As for Northern, the win made it two in a row for them and bumps their season record up to 11-8.
Rockwood will be playing at home against Claysburg-Kimmel at 6:00 p.m. on Wednesday. As for Northern, they won't have much time to rest: their next matchup is against Bishop Walsh at 6:00 p.m. on February 13th.
