It's hard to turn regular season success into postseason wins, a fact the Parkway West HOYAS can now relate to. They lost to the Speedboys on the road by a decisive 53-35 margin on Wednesday. Parkway West's defeat signaled the end of their nine-game winning streak.
Leading West Philadelphia to victory were Naeemiah Bridgeford and Victoria Williams. Bridgeford scored 15 points along with five steals, while Williams scored 18 points along with five rebounds and five steals. Bridgeford is on a roll when it comes to steals, as she's now grabbed three or more in the last eight games she's played. The team also got some help courtesy of Badji Tall, who scored four points.
Parkway West's loss ended a five-game streak of away wins and brought them to 9-5. As for West Philadelphia, they pushed their record up to 13-1 with that win, which was their 11th straight at home dating back to last season.
Parkway West does not have any more games scheduled as of now. As for West Philadelphia, they will head out on the road to square off against Parkway Center City at 3:15 p.m. on Friday. West Philadelphia's defense has only allowed 24.1 points per game this season, so Parkway Center City's offense will have their work cut out for them.
