The St. Lucy's Regents lost against the Upland Highlanders/Scots on January 5th, and unfortunately they wound up with the same result on Monday. St. Lucy's took a serious blow against Upland, falling 61-17. St. Lucy's was in a tough position after the first half, with the score already sitting at 36-5.
Brooke Baur was St. Lucy's leading scorer, having posted five points.
Kira Carroll held things down on the boards with five rebounds. She took the lead distributing the ball, coming up with two assists.
Upland was led to victory by Isabella Rodriguez and Contessa Luna. Rodriguez scored ten points along with five steals, while Luna scored six points along with nine steals and five assists. Another player making a difference was Tyler Jackson-mcdowell, who scored seven points.
St. Lucy's has been struggling recently, as they've lost seven of their last eight games, which put a noticeable dent in their 10-12 record this season. As for Upland, their win bumped their record up to 10-13.
Both teams will have to hit the road in their upcoming games. St. Lucy's will take on Chino Hills at 4:45 p.m. on Wednesday.
