The biggest upset of the week belonged to St. Francis, who took down 160th ranked Fridley, 41-33.
Justus Canfield and Samuel Yankey provided fans with a highlight when they connected against North Branch. The longest such play in North Suburban this season, the connection resulted in 65 yards.
Irondale's dynamic duo of Canfield and Yankey proved tough for the Vikings to stop, as they were the top passer and receiver in the league this week. Canfield threw for 155 yards and three touchdowns and Yankey had 93 yards receiving. AJ Myles helped Irondale's passing attack out by catching one ball for 58 yards.
Eji Ejiya was the most productive running back in the league this week. In 21 carries, he ran for 171 yards as Spring Lake Park defeated North Branch. Jared Evans also contributed to the rushing game with 60 yards on the ground.
Irondale's Canfield and Yankey have formed a dynamic duo this season, leading the league in both passing and receiving yards. Canfield has thrown for 642 yards this season, while Yankey, a 5-foot-8 receiver, has 19 catches for 311 yards. Ejiya from the Panthers leads the league in rushing with 1091 yards.
A big matchup in North Suburban this week will be when Chisago Lakes Area takes on Ben Geisler's team. As it stands, the Wildcats are in fourth, while the Knights are in third.
Spring Lake Park extended the longest winning streak in the league this week by beating Chisago Lakes Area, 20-13. This was the team's seventh consecutive win.
