Cole Allen Delivers Best Performance of Season
Cole Allen produced his most outstanding game to date while leading St. John to the win on Friday. Allen rushed for 332 yards and five touchdowns while picking up 13.8 yards per carry, good enough to set a new career-high in rushing yards in the process. He was no stranger to the big play, turning on the jets for a run that went for 62 yards.
Allen is probably looking forward to his next game, a home matchup against Episcopal on Friday. Back in October of 2023 (the last time Allen saw the Knights), he rushed for 276 yards and four touchdowns while picking up 9.9 yards per carry.

Another Game with at Least Two Rushing Touchdowns from Wayne Shanks Jr.
On Friday, Kinkaid got the W thanks in part to Wayne Shanks Jr. playing the best football he has all season. Shanks Jr. wasn't messing around, rushing for 275 yards and three touchdowns while picking up 9.8 yards per carry. The game was his fifth straight with two or more rushing touchdowns. He was no stranger to the big play, taking off on a dash that went for 64 yards.
The victory (which was Kinkaid's fifth in a row) raised their record to 5-1. It'll be Battle of the Birds when Falcons takes on Episcopal School of Dallas at 7:00 p.m. on Thursday.

Dean Calhoun Crosses Big Stat Threshold
Dean Calhoun continued his hot streak on Friday by dropping his fourth-straight game (dating back to last season) with at least 101 rushing yards. He rushed for 111 yards and a touchdown, and also picked up 46 receiving yards and a touchdown. He's now once again averaging 100+ rushing yards (101.2) per game.
Cooper dropped their record down to 2-4 with the loss, which was their fourth straight on the road dating back to last season. Calhoun and Cooper will take on St. Mark's at 7:00 p.m. on Thursday.

A Season-Best Effort from David Capobianco Leads Kinkaid over St. Mark's
On Friday, Kinkaid got the W thanks in part to David Capobianco playing the best football he has all season. Capobianco threw for 169 yards and a touchdown, and also punched in a touchdown on the ground. The performance also marked the most rushing yards (17) he has had since back in September of 2023.
This year, Capobianco has thrown 8 touchdowns while averaging 161.8 passing yards per game. It gets even more impressive: after six games last season, he was only averaging 2.17 rushing yards per game. This year he is averaging 10.33 rushing yards.

Jordan Manuel and Co. Win Fifth in a Row
Kinkaid picked up their fifth consecutive win on Friday thanks in part to Jordan Manuel. Manuel was unstoppable, picking up 99 receiving yards and a touchdown. The bulk of those receiving yards came from one huge play: a catch that gained an incredible 53 yards.
If history really does repeat itself, Manuel might just drop another big game when he faces off against Episcopal School of Dallas on Friday. When Manuel last faced the Eagles back in October of 2023, he picked up 104 receiving yards and two touchdowns.
