The Fillmore Flashes's recent rough patch got a bit rougher on Wednesday after their sixth straight loss. They were dealt a 45-14 defeat at the hands of Carpinteria. If Fillmore was looking for revenge after losing 62-27 to them when the teams met, then they'll just have to keep looking.
Carpinteria got their win on the backs of several key players, but it was Jamaica Cook out in front who scored 20 points along with six rebounds and two steals. That makes it three consecutive games in which Cook has scored at least a third of Carpinteria's points. Another player making a difference was Armarisse Camargo, who scored eight points along with five rebounds and four steals.
Fillmore has been struggling recently as they've lost 11 of their last 12 contests, which put a noticeable dent in their 3-15 record this season. As for Carpinteria, they have been performing well recently as they've won four of their last five matches, which provided a massive bump to their 12-8 record this season.
Fillmore does not have any more games scheduled as of now. Carpinteria also has no future games currently scheduled.
