Chandler (Ariz.) has been one of the most successful quarterbacks in state history. He's led the Wolves to back-to-back 6A state titles and is three wins away from making it a three-peat. No. 20 Chandler won its 10th consecutive win rolling past Boulder Creek (Anthem) 64-14.
The 3-star quarterback finished the night completing 12-of-17 passes for 236 yards and four touchdowns in the blowout victory. Conover has thrown for 2,500-plus yards and has 33 touchdown passes to only three interceptions in his postseason career.
The most important playoff stat though — nine wins and zero losses.
Up next for Conover and Wolves is a 7-4 Mountain Pointe (Phoenix) team in the second round of the Arizona 6A playoffs.

The No. 1 team in high school football recorded its second consecutive shutout with a 49-0 win in the first round of the CIF Southern Section Division-I playoffs against Serra (Gardena, Calif.). The Braves are loaded with players on the
2019 and
2020 Polynesian Bowl roster including three players on the defense —
Chris Steele,
Ralen Goforth and
Sua'ava Poti.
Stephen Herron Jr. — Trinity (Louisville, Ky.)The 2019 Stanford commit led Trinity to a 69-0 shutout win in the opening round of the 6A Kentucky state playoffs. The back-to-back 6A state champs have now won 11 straight playoff games and are finally getting healthy at the right time as they got for a three-peat. The Shamrocks held Muhlenburg County (Greenville, Ky.) to four first downs and only allowed one yard rushing.
Junior Tafuna — Bingham (South Jordan, Utah)The third and final defensive player selected is Bingham's 3-star linebacker. He led the Miners to a 46-0 shutout win in the second round of the Utah 6A state playoffs over Kearns (Utah). He was a factor all over the field and capped it off with a 30-yard pick six to give Bingham its 10th consecutive playoff win. The back-to-back 6A state champs face a very good 10-2 American Fork with a spot in the state championship game on the line.
Cam'ron Kelly — Oscar Smith (Chesapeake, Va.)There was no way the 2019 Auburn commit was missing senior night and especially against a team they lost to in 2017. Kelly returned after missing last week and balled out despite only playing one half in the 49-10 blowout victory. He threw for 219 yards and four scores as they enter the 6A Virginia state playoffs with a 9-1 record.
