Strathmore has been struggling as of late, and they have yet to win a game this season. They came up short against the Exeter Monarchs on Thursday, falling 7-0. While losing is never fun, the Spartans can't take it too hard given the team's big disadvantage in MaxPreps' California soccer rankings (they are ranked 934th, while the Monarchs are ranked 462nd).

Strathmore's defeat dropped their record down to 0-8-4. As for Exeter, they pushed their record up to 7-1-1 with the win, which was their sixth straight at home.

After both having extra time off, Strathmore and Summit Charter Collegiate Academy will shake off the cobwebs and take on one another at 6:00 p.m. on January 3, 2025. Strathmore is facing Summit Charter Collegiate Academy at the right time seeing as Summit Charter Collegiate Academy is stuck on a three-game losing streak. As for Exeter, they will have some time to savor their victory since their next game is a little ways off: they'll take on Tulare Western at 6:00 p.m. on January 2, 2025.
