The Mission Hills Grizzlies scored the most points they've had all season to find success on Friday. They claimed a resounding 86-32 victory over Poway at home. Mission Hills has made a habit of sweeping their opponents off the court, having now won ten matches by 22 points or more this season.
Kyara Walter continued her habit of posting crazy stat lines, scoring 22 points along with three steals. The team also got some help courtesy of Kylee Trujillo, who scored 16 points along with six rebounds.
Several Titans players turned in solid performances despite ultimately coming up short. Perhaps the best among those players was Katelyn Johnson, who scored 11 points. Another player making a difference was Mya McGowan, who scored ten points.
The win (which was Mission Hills' fourth in a row) raised their record to 18-8. Those good results were due in large part to their offensive dominance across that stretch, as they averaged 74.3 points per game. As for Poway, this is the second loss in a row for them and nudges their season record down to 16-8.
Mission Hills will head out on the road to face off against the Nighthawks at 5:00 p.m. on Wednesday. Del Norte is on a ten-game streak of home wins, the Grizzlies a four-game streak of away wins -- so someone will have to leave a streak behind on the court. Poway will take on the Barons at 5:30 p.m. on Monday. Bonita Vista has been dominant on offense recently, as they've racked up an incredible 262 points over their last four games.
