Bacon Academy won against Lyman Memorial  on Wednesday with nine  runs and they decided to stick to that  run total again  on Friday. The Bobcats walked away with  a   9-6  victory over the Montville Wolves. The  win was familiar territory for the Bobcats, who have now won three  matches in a row.

 Riley Stolzman was a  major factor no matter where she played. She  struck out 15 batters over  seven innings while giving up  three earned  (and three unearned) runs off   seven  hits. Those  15  strikeouts gave  her a new career-high. She was also big at the plate,  going 3-for-4 with two  triples, three  RBI,  and one  run.
 In other batting news,  Reina Hill was  incredible,  getting on base  in four of her five plate appearances with one  home run, two  runs,  and one  triple. She has been hot, having also posted  at least one  stolen base the last six times she's  played. Another player making a difference was  Gabrielle Russo, who  went 2-for-4 with two  runs, two  doubles,  and two  RBI.
Bacon Academy pushed their record up to 11-12 with the  victory, which was their third straight  on the road. Those  road  wins came thanks in part to their hitting performance across that stretch, as  they  averaged 8.3 runs over those games. As for Montville, their loss dropped their record down to 13-10.
 Bacon Academy didn't take long to hit the field again: they've already played their next  game,  a  6-2  defeat against Foran on the 2nd. As for Montville, they have also already played their next contest,  a  22-3  victory against University/Classical Magnet on the 2nd.
